How do I sign up to get food from Ahlers Meals?

If you are receiving Medicare/Medicaid benefits and qualify for home delivered meals, please call your case manager and they will get you set up with Ahlers Meals. If you are unsure if you qualify, please visit this page to find out.

If you do not qualify for home delivered meals, but would like to pay for meals out of pocket, please give us a call at (937) 506-8487, and we’ll be happy to get you set up.

I’m signed up to receive meals. Now what do I do?

Please let your Social Services Case Manager know you’d like to use Ahlers Meals as your service provider. Once we receive notice from the funding agency that you are eligible, we will contact you to get started.

How do I setup my first delivery?

Our Consumer Intake Specialist will give you a call to discuss your first meal delivery and decide which food you’d like to recieve. On the day of your first delivery, one of our drivers will be coming to your home to deliver your meals. They will explain our process and answer any questions you may have about your meals. Lastly, they’ll have you sign a document stating you acknowledge receiving the meals.

How do I schedule additional meal deliveries?

After your first delivery, you will receive regularly scheduled meals based on the number of meals determined by your Social Services Case Manager. We will contact you to let you know your regular day and time of delivery.

What happens if I’m not home when my meals are delivered?

If you are not home to receive your meals and sign for them, we are not able to leave them due to program regulations.

You will receive your next meals in your regularly scheduled time frame.

What if I need to change my regular day and time of my food deliveries? What if I’m going on vacation?

Please give us a call at (937) 506-8487 And we’ll be happy to help you. If you are cancelling a delivery, we appreciate 48 hours notice.

I won’t be home for my delivery, can someone sign for me?

This is not up to an Ahlers Meals employee to authorize. Your case manager must approve this request and give us notice before your scheduled delivery.

What if I miss my meal delivery?

We are not able to make re-deliveries so we strongly encourage our clients to plan to be home for your scheduled delivery. You do have the option to reach out to your case manager and request a double delivery at your next scheduled delivery time.

Can I pick up meals at your location?

According to the Ohio Administrative Code, clients are only permitted to receive their meals at their home or designated service address.

How do I change my order?

Please go to our order form and fill out your preferences online. If you’d like to print out the form and hand it to your delivery driver, that is acceptable as well.
